Brady Ellison and Jennifer Nichols win Gold in the 2010 World Cup Stage 1 Finals!
May 4-8, 2010:
2008 U.S. Olympian Brady Ellison and Jennifer Nichols won gold in the first ever Recurve Mixed Team title at the 2010 World Cup Stage 1 tournament in Croatia. Ellison and Nichols claimed the gold medal by defeating the China team 141-139. In the final end, Ellison shot single-arrow scores of 10, 9, and 10, finding the bulls-eye a total of 10 times.
Dave Cousins and Reo Wilde (using the Black Eagle scope) of the U.S. Men's Compound Team, who are the defending World champions, won gold in a sudden death tiebreaker against the Denmark team. Martin Damsbo of the Denmark team won silver.
Erika Anschutz and Jamie Van Natta walked away with the silver medal in the Women's Team Compound competition!
